Whether it’s an energising yoga class in the park, getting upside down for the first time, a rehabilitative one to one fascia release session or fun and imaginative Kids Yoga classes, we have a whole range of wellbeing solutions to make you feel good. But don’t take out word for it, here’s what a selection of our clients have to say about us…

Golf is sometimes the most frustrating game in the world especially for those of us that are amateurs, it requires balance, stability, strength, flexibility and power. I met Kirsty 9 months ago and asked for help with strengthening my core. This was not specifically to help my golf but to improve my overall fitness. The benefits turned out to really help me in my golf, a more consistent swing and a lot less fatigue over 18 holes especially in the heat of Dubai. Pilates has built my core strength, increased my flexibility and my range of motion and a very definite increase in my stamina. I would recommend regular pilates training to anyone looking to improve their game and that is after all what most of us want from our golf game.

I have a prolapsed disk in my spine and have suffered with a painful back for many years. I am an active, sporty person and regardless how fit or otherwise I was, I could not avoid waking up with chronic back ache. Rebecca persuaded me to take a course of action through Pilates. Her personal instruction is excellent. After a series of fundamental sessions, my core strength started to improve to the stage that with a simple stretching exercise every morning, my back pain has been reduced significantly. I would recommend Rebecca for anyone looking to improve their suppleness, core strength and especially if you have lower back issues.

This girl really knows her Pilates! If you’re struggling post-partum with any back pain or weak muscles Kirsty is your lady. I’ve been doing both prenatal and postnatal yoga and Pilates with Kirsty for nearly 18 months and it has literally changed my life! I’m now on my second pregnancy and have managed to avoid SPD and almost all back pain which I suffered terribly from with the first baby. I found the Pilates sessions really worked to keep me strong and release my tight hips and Kirstys knowledge of the anatomy and especially pelvic floor was really invaluable and made a difference from previous sessions I had attended. I would definately book sessions with Kirsty- you won’t regret it!

I went to Kim last summer after finishing a six month programme of chemotherapy. My body was mess! Examples included not being able to open a bottle, not being able to stand any longer than 20 minutes. Coping with an hours worth of pain across the my back after getting out of bed. After eight months of seeing Kim twice a week, I understand my body better than I ever have done which has not only allowed me to move without pain again but I have the strength to get into postures that I struggled with even before chemo and oh pregnancy!
Kim has patience, she was able to connect with me at time that I was very fragile but also gave me the push and confidence to help me get to where I am today. I cannot describe how integral she has been on my journey to restoration. I have referred her to so many people who are in pain and I have every confidence that she can fix them. Although she is a yoga teacher, I think the skills, dedication and inner geek in her makes sessions with Kim much more than Yoga.

I still remember my first class with Kim … she has this amazing ability to make you feel completely at home from the word go and her energy exudes with positivity flavoured with a fabulous sense of humour that keeps you smiling like a cheshire cat through most of the class ( except when we are struggling with some tree pose -side plank of hers :). I always say that some of the best qualified teachers may not be the best intructors … with Kim – you get lucky; with her clarity of instruction and her constant personal attention to your body’s detail and posture…the personality and happy energy are the icing on the cake!! Kim makes you feel like you are the only one in class with her whilst still enjoying the ambience and energy of a group session. Kim’s classes are filled with positive energy, thoughtfulness, fun and she forms the core of the value proposition of this class which brings with it a great setting by the poolside of Fraser Suites at a convenient time, post office hours at 7:15 pm. Kim brings with her a special personal touch (literally – she actually provides a bonus yoga massage at the end of each class during the guided meditation part) along with clarity in positive thought and action. Her words are always encouraging of us trying to work “with”our bodies rather than against it and I couldn’t recommend this class more for anyone who wants to try Yoga or Pilates for the first time or the nth time!

I came to Fraser Suites hearing about an outdoor yoga-lates session, after my regular beachside Vinyasa hotspot was postponed for the summer. I discovered a small yet hearty group of yogi’s, hailing from all backgrounds, with one thing in mind… to improve their physical and mental well-beings. My aim was to further my own practice, under the help and guidance of Kim Danoher, who’s classes in Safa park on a Friday are extremely well attended.

Kim’s teaching method is hands on and very attentive, which is why i haven’t been back to my original class since, i’m completely sold by the movement/strengthening and stretching techniques that Kim uses. I feel a lot more awake after each class and am able to push myself further within it, knowing that Kim will make sure if i’m not in line. I have since brought all my friends to the classes too, with most of them returning week after week just like me.”

I took both group classes and private lessons from this amazing woman. She comes to each class with a high degree of technical knowledge that is delivered in the most loving and motivated manor. She is always conscious of everyone’s physical ability as well as everyone’s body issues. You will never regret being taught by her. It was a pleasure to have met the incomparable Rebecca, she is a true gift to the Middle East.

As someone who has undergone two spinal fusions and suffers from scoliosis, Rebecca’s classes provided me with a lifeline with which to be relatively pain free. They were always incredibly well planned, with variations on every exercise to support, and extend those with specific physical weaknesses. She was conscientious in always checking exercises were correctly carried out and spent time explaining why the moves were important. The emphasis on her teaching, even in a group class, was on fitting the exercise for the individual rather than a one size fits all approach. I cannot recommend Rebecca enough.

The feedback from the kids was amazing. They absolutely loved it! Thank you so much Kirsty, we cannot wait for next week!! What they loved the most, was how you kept explaining WHAT the different postures were doing and the benefits of different movements. They are smart kids and like things like that. I think some of them were surprised by how challenging it was too, which is great. Most of them actually said they wished they could do it twice a week! Me too!

I took private sessions with Rebecca as I have disc issues in my lower back. Rebecca is extremely knowledgeable and professional. She knows exactly what she is doing and how to get you there!

I had one on one sessions at my home with Rebecca Olds over the course of two months for shoulder and back pain. She was amazing; got me in touch with my body through breathing and slow movement. Regular practice helped me improve my posture and made me aware of small movements that would correct ‘bad’ habits my body had got used to in terms of the way I sit and stand while at work. Rebecca is very knowledgeable and has a gentle way of directing you. She taught me to listen to my body, offering alternatives if one exercise was too difficult for me. As I progressed I saw the improvement and Rebecca was always encouraging and cheering me on. I had done Mat Pilates for a number of years before and she corrected the mistakes in my technique. My back is so much stronger now and I would highly recommend her. I’m very confident that she can help anyone.

I am very glad that I joined the yoga class in this office. I suffer from joints aches and lower back ache most of the time. My joints are super flexible and last year I had to attend 7 sessions of physiotherapy. The Physiotherapist advised me that my core muscles are very week and that the pilates will help me. It was very difficult for me to attend any pilates classes as a working mother I had to go back home and look after my family. It was very convenient that we are having the classes at our offices before 9:00 a.m. otherwise I would not be able to attend after working hours. At the end of 2013 I twisted my ankle and since that time I was unable to pray properly. When I pray I sit on a chair. After attending several yoga classes I started to feel better. My joints became stronger and I can sit on the floor now when I pray. My sleeping is becoming much better. I use to wake up during my sleep about 5-6 times and in the morning I feel tired. Now I sleep continuously and I feel much better in the morning when I wake up. One more thing about the super flexible knees, you were the only one who told me to bend my knees to avoid any damage to the knees and it was really the best advice I have ever had. I feel that you know everything about my body and you know what poses can affect me and tell me how to do them in a different way so that I get the same benefits as my other colleagues do. I find that the last 5 minutes of each class are very relaxing and I enjoy the yoga class and I look forward to strengthen my ankles and knees to enable me to do the balance exercises correctly. Thank you a lot for your effort with us.

“I had the pleasure to have Rebecca as my private Pilates instructor, I completed 20 sessions with her. I am blown away by her knowledge of the body as I am a certified psychical trainer myself. I came in with the condition Diastasis rectus and with Rebecca’s past experiences it was a perfect match. The training and help I received was tremendous, she is gentle in her approach, always listing to my needs and what she really helped me with was to teach me to have patience. Our weekly session was something I always looked forward to, I left feeling stronger every time. I reached my goals of healing my abdominals after three very difficult pregnancies, and the outcome of training with her was more than I could ever have hoped for. Rebecca is one of the most inspiring people I have ever met in my life, and with her professional approach and loving nature I am sure to return for more classes.”

“Rebecca is the best Pilates teacher I’ve ever had! Whether you have an old/new injury or just want to tone your body up, Rebecca is more than happy to give you advise and help. I’m not a fan of group classes usually, but Rebecca knows the needs of each individual in her class and makes you feel at ease. The class feels relaxed and yet you know you are working your body. I have always wondered if Pilates really does anything, but having done Rebecca’s classes I am now convinced. I have stretched muscles I didn’t know I had or were seriously under worked! I asked Rebecca if I could write a review as she has been nothing but helpful. I believe Rebecca does one on one and group classes, either way I would highly recommend her.”

I am a participant of yoga classes and practicing regularly yoga with different instructors. I love to attend Kim’s classes and like her style of teaching very much. Compared to other yoga classes that I have been in, Kim has been one of the best instructor that I have had so far. She has a deep empathy and understanding of her students bodies, limitations, injuries, strengths, and will work with you to help you deepen your practice. Kim has a knack for giving constructive feedback regarding different poses. She makes the classes challenging without giving you the impression that you failed if you cannot do the pose. I highly recommend attending classes with her.

I started to work with Rebecca one on one in 2011 after a major lower back injury left me unable to use my right leg properly, with limited flexibility and a lot of fear of falling and terror of the pain returning.  Over the course of an 18 month period Rebecca helped me to transform my life and to gradually rebuild my strength, confidence and spinal mobility.  Today I am able to walk normally and have regained most of my flexibility.   I have no hesitation in recommending Rebecca – she is highly skilled in and knowledgeable about the Pilates method and an excellent instructor who will gently push you to achieve your goals, whatever they may be.

My initial aims were to improve my flexibility and have some periods of time during the week where I would be focusing on my concentration, breathing and body. The flexibility part is quite important because as a kitesurfer this will and has impacted quite a bit, also as a runner I tend loose flexibility. On the mind part, with my job always travelling and with high stress levels it is increasingly relevant to be able to stop and reset. Both aims are being achieved.
I really enjoy my sessions with Kim as firstly she engages quickly which is critical for new students, and then drives consistent classes together with the ability to manage all the students. The venue is rather nice, as I enjoy a lot the outdoor part of it. Being on a rooftop in Dubai is always cool.
