Co-founder and Instructor
Kirsty first discovered Pilates after suffering several years of chronic lower back pain which was never properly diagnosed. Pilates immediately struck a chord, helping to enhance her entire health and well being; the only therapy that could keep her pain free. She knew it was time to make her passion her work. She completed the comprehensive 12 month, 950 hour teacher training programme in 2012 through The Pilates Centre, Boulder, Colorado whilst still working full time as a Marketing professional, and has also completed training in Dorn body alignment. Kirsty is also trained in restorative Hatha Yoga (200hr), childrens yoga & Thai Yoga Massage and regularly teaches these sessions too.
Kirsty recently completed the Contrology Pilates Method (CPM) bridging programme in 2015 and continues to further her knowledge and use of Fascia Release techniques with the CPM’s Anatomy Trains focused training, workshops & Spatial Medicine methodology.
Her extensive personal experience with back pain gives her a unique perspective to work with clients who have similar issues. She brings a unique sensitivity, combined with precision to her work, creating a safe and encouraging, yet challenging environment for clients of all ages, ability and fitness levels, including children, pre-natal/post-natal and rehabilitation clients. Her love of teaching and her attention to detail coupled with study of Psychology and over 10 years Corporate experience allow her to adapt her approach for each client, offering skills that translate to their everyday lives, enabling them to apply the practical aspects of Pilates to improve posture and overall fitness.
Kirsty’s light-heartedness, knowledge and compassion for others is reflected in her teaching style.
